The First Elfery™
My son was five when we moved to our new home with a generous space behind a little door under the stairs. Something told me to put my childhood table and chairs behind that door. Indeed, they looked quite at home. About that same time, our family discovered that, if we set little pancakes made from the dibs and dabs of batter on their own little plate, closed our eyes, and counted to ten, they disappeared! Eventually, we discovered that the pancake thieves were elves who entered our home through the Elfery™, that little room under the stairs. And so the fun and fantasy began.
